• Says ready for any election and capable of carrying out a successful campaign

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) yesterday urged the government to hold the provincial council elections immediately. 

SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara told a press conference that government should hold the provincial council elections as it is long overdue.

“It is almost two years since the term of provincial councils have ended, and therefore it is high time the elections are held,” Mr. Madduma Bandara said.
