Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) yesterday said it will back the no-confidence motion which SLFP is to bring in against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, SJB MP Hector Appuhamy said yesterday.

Mr. Appuhamy told a briefing that it is the need of the hour.

“A no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister will reveal whether he has a majority in Parliament or not,” he said.

Also, MP Appuhamy said Speaker should get his act together and consider that President had vacated his post. “The Speaker should go ahead and get the House to elect a new President,” he therefore said.

Asked about the criticism made by Aragalaya people on Leader of Opposition, he said only a few in the Aragalaya holds that ideology.
