• We urge the government to ensure that these scarce public funds are utilised to provide vaccines for all Sri Lankans

Whilst rejecting the move to bring down luxury vehicles for the Ministers and MPs,  Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday said his party will never approve using of public funds for the purpose.   

“We in the Samagi Jana Balawegaya reject the proposal of the government to provide MPs with vehicles at taxpayers’ expense. We urge the government to ensure that these scarce public funds are utilised to provide vaccines for all Sri Lankans. SJB will never approve of using public resources for the betterment of the lives of politicians, rather such resources should be invested in promoting a prosperous and a developed motherland,” Mr. Premadasa said in his latest post on Facebook.
