Sacred Monument from Seetha Amman Temple N’Eliya to Ram Mandir, India



 

  • It was handed over by MP V. Radhakrishnan, Trustee, Seetha  Amman Temple, N’Eliya, Mr. S. Sundaralingam, Trustee, Mayurapathi  Amman Temple, Colombo 06 and Mr. E. Muthukrishnan

The symbolic sacred monument of a stone carved from where Seetha was kept in captive by Ravana was handed over to Sri Lankan High Commissioner designate to New Delhi Milinda Moragoda, a statement said.  

It was handed over by MP V. Radhakrishnan who is a Trustee, Seetha Amman Temple, Nuwara Eliya, Mr. S. Sundaralingam, Trustee, Mayurapathi Amman Temple, Mayura Place, Colombo 06 and Mr. E. Muthukrishnan, a leading Businessmen in Colombo, in the presence of  Shri Gopal Baglay,  High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka at the function held at Mayurapathi Amman Temple Hall on Thursday, 18th March 2021.  


Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay, Mr. Moragoda, High Commissioner Designate to India, P. P. Devaraj, Founder President of GOPIO, Dr.V. K. Walson, Deputy High Commissioner Designate to India, Dr. Venkatesh, Deputy High Commissioner Designate to India graced this occasion.  


 The Indian High Commissioner said  he was  pleased with this endeavour and assured the fullest cooperation to ensure the Sacred Monument to reach Ayodhya.   


Mr. P. P. Devaraj, in his address thanked Mr. Milinda Moragoda, High Commissioner Designate to India for volunteering to undertake the delivery of the Sacred Monument to the Trustees of Ram Mandir, Ayodhya through the Sri Lankan High Commission in New Delhi. 

 

  • The Indian High Commissioner said  he was  pleased with this endeavour  and assured the fullest cooperation to ensure the Sacred Monument to  reach Ayodhya
