• Police Emergency Service 119 rushed to the scene to find the school girl with her face and limbs trussed up

An underage school girl, on her way back after school, who had been trussed up and left in a hut in a Chena at Sippukulam in Kallanchiya area on Tuesday (02) was rescued by the Kallanchiya police.    

 She was a grade five student of a school at Rotawewa in Sippukulama.   

Police said that on information received by the Police Emergency Service 119 they rushed to the scene to find the school girl with her face and limbs trussed up. 

They said the girl who was now under treatment at the Anuradhapura teaching hospital would be subject to a medical examination.   

The Kallanchiya police are conducting further investigations to arrest the suspects.
