• 6 MSD guards for each MP

Six policemen including a Sub Inspector (SI) have been allocated to provide security to all Parliamentarians as per the instructions of the IGP.  

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of the Ministerial Security Division (MSD) has instructed the Officer in Charge of the MSD to allocate the required MSD personnel to all MPs.  

The ASP has also instructed the OIC of the MSD to obtain a list of policemen from the divisional police areas in coordination with the Parliamentarian.  

He has also told the OIC to inform the MPs to convey in writing if he/she was refusing to obtain the allocated security personnel.
