Shortage of Neurologists in state hospitals

 There is a dearth of Neurologists in government hospitals at provincial level, a specialists in the field said yesterday.    They said that the strength of Neuro Surgeons in the public sector had reduced to eleven at present and that it would be further reduced to nine by the end of the year.  

A Neuro Surgeon in a government hospital said there had been 23 Neuro Surgeons last year in government hospitals but it has reduced to eleven this year.  
 He pointed out that several Neuro Surgeons had retired or either left the country for good.
