• Duminda Nagamuwa and seven others were arrested by the police on 7th of July when they staged a peaceful protest at the State Engineering Corporation

The wife of Frontline Socialist Party Propaganda Secretary Duminda Nagamuwa yesterday (12) filed a Habeas Corpus petition in Court of Appeal seeking an interim order directing authorities to produce Duminda Nagamuwa before Court forthwith.   

The petitioner Naidelage Dulani Priyangika, the wife of Duminda Nagamuwa filed the petition naming IGP Chandana Wickremaratne, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Thennakoon, Officer-In-Charge of the Slave Island Police Station, Director General of Health Services Dr.Asela Gunawardena and several others as respondents.
