• Delegation will include Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, former Ambassador to Russia and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs  

A specialized delegation will leave for Russia on the direction of President Ranil Wickremesinghe to investigate into the welfare of Sri Lankans amidst the on-going Russian-Ukraine war, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya said yesterday.   Addressing the media briefing held at the Presidential Media Division (PMC), he said the delegation will include the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, the former Ambassador to Russia and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  

The delegation will depart for Russia promptly, he said.
