Sri Lanka’s foreign remittance has increased in August: Manusha



  • Around 200,000 who have registered themselves with the Foreign Employment Bureau have left for foreign employment according to the minister. The target is to send 300,000 for employment abroad this year

Sri Lanka’s foreign remittance has increased in August this year compared to July , Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara said.   

Total remittances for August have been dollars 325 million compared to dollars 279 million according to the minister.   “ We like to thank those Sri Lankan expatriates who had remitted funds through official channels ,” the Minister said.  


Around 200,000 who have registered themselves with the Foreign Employment Bureau have left for foreign employment according to the minister. The target is to send 300,000 for employment abroad this year.
