• Sniffer dogs from Hatton Kennel Division deployed

Hatton Police with the help of the Army have launched a  search operation lasting several days in view of the long weekend in  the Hatton Railway Station to arrest the pilgrims in possession of  illegal drugs and other intoxicants.  
Police said it was launched on the instructions of SP  Hatton Division Nipuna Dehigama a parallel to the ongoing “Yukthiya  Operation” against drug traffickers and criminals.

 Police had deployed  sniffer dogs of the Hatton Kennel Division to nab suspects carrying  illegal drugs and intoxicants.  

The SP said the operation would be carried out round the  clock during the weekend holidays when a heavy influx of pilgrims  arriving by train is expected.
