New officers have been appointed to positions in units at the Presidential Secretariat that serve the people directly, including the President’s Fund and the Public Relations Division. 

  These steps have been taken under new structural changes being made to make the functions of the Presidential Secretariat more efficient, following the appointment of Gamini Senarath as the Secretary to the President.   
 President’s Media Division said in a statement that some social-media platforms had attempted to misinterpret these administrative changes using personal names, which are totally fabricated.
