State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics, and COVID-19 Disease Control Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle decided to cancel her son’s wedding reception scheduled to be held at a five-star hotel in Colombo last evening(12), family sources said.  

The wedding reception has been cancelled due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country. However, the wedding Mass will be held at a church with the participation of close relatives adhering to strict health guidelines.
