All parties should take immediate action to find solutions in a democratic manner respecting the constitution and maintaining law and order, the Association of Medical Administrators (AMA) said.

While issuing a media statement, they said that they are deeply concerned about the unstable situation in the country.

Sri Lanka is facing the worst crisis it has ever faced before and is on the verge of collapse politically, socially, and economically, the AMA said.

They vehemently condemn the repression of protesters by force and request the tri-forces and the police to refrain from harming the unarmed protesters.  Therefore, they requested the citizens to make the protests peaceful and non-violent without being provoked or manipulated by opportunistic parties.  The AMA also urges the responsible parties to ensure the smooth functioning of health and other essential services amidst this crisis.
