Former President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday said that the terrorists who carried out the Easter Sunday’s attack should be punished and justice should be done to the Catholic people.
While claiming that the saddest event in his political career was the Easter Sunday’s attack said “it was a very complex issue and should be discussed at length, but at this moment I can’t comment further as there were about 20 cases pending in the Supreme Court, related to this attack.”
The former president made this comment during an event in Polonnaruwa. He further said he was of the view that justice should be done to all, including those killed and injured.
