Two thieves who entered a house in Maullai in Wadukkodai at the dead of night when the owners were away, had prepared a sumptuous meal and after eating, fallen fast asleep while watching TV.  

The owner of the house who returned in the early hours of last morning to find two strangers sleeping in the house caught and handed over one of them to the police with the help of the neighbours, while the other had fled from the scene and evaded arrest.  

Police said the man already in custody provided information leading to identify the absconding suspect and that he would be arrested soon.
