Three men including the brother of MP Sanath Nishantha have been arrested on charges of causing bodily harm to people and obstructing the duties of policemen at a filling station in Arachchikattuwa.   

Police said the Nishantha’s brother Jagath Samantha who is the former Chairman of the Arachchikattuwa Pradeshiya Sabha was arrested after he had given himself up at the police station. 

 
Police said the suspects were accused of assaulting a group of individuals near a filling station in Arachchikattuwa who were waiting for fuel on June 17.   

The suspects were to be produced before the Chilaw Magistrate Court.
