A collision between a van and a passenger bus in the Wegama area has left three members of a family dead and several others injured.  

The accident occurred last afternoon along the Bibila-Mahiyanganaya road.  

The victims, identified as members of the same family, were travelling in a van which had crashed into the private bus.
