Transferring political power from one lunatic to another will no longer help Sri Lanka, UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said yesterday.

Mr. Range Bandara said the time has come for people to think and hand over the nation to an able leader.
"We are confident that people will hand over the nation to the right person as they are more realistic today than in the past. They are suffering today because they have not made the right decision," he said.

"There are a few in SLPP who are currently having discussions with us and one will be able to see the results of these dialogues as and when elections are declared," he added.
