• Victims were travelling on a motorcycle  when they were gunned down

Two accomplices of organised criminal ‘Beral Sanka’ have  been shot dead on Thursday night at the 9th miles post in Kadawatha on the  Colombo-Kandy main Road.  

Police said the victims were travelling on a motorcycle  when they were gunned down by two shooters with a T56 assault rifle who  also arrived on a motorcycle.   

The victims, 30 and 31 and residents of Peliyagoda had died upon admission to the Colombo National Hospital.   
Police investigations revealed that a rivalry between two underworld gangs is the reason for the shooting.   
The Kadawatha Police are conducting further investigations.
