 A boatman and a security guard of a tourist hotel in Bentota had disappeared in a collision of two boats in Bentota river on Thursday night (22).   

 Police said a high speed boat with tourists enjoying a boat ride in the river had bumped against the small boat with the two men on board.   

 The two hotel employees were on their way to Aluthgama bank of the river to fetch meals for the employees of the hotel which is under repairs, when they met with accident.   

 The boatman of the ill-fated boat Danet De Silva (60) of Kaluwamodara, and a security guard of the hotel Milina Naveen Jayanetthi (20) of Welipenna had disappeared in the incident. 

 
 The boatman of the high-speed boat was taken into custody by Bentota Police.   

 Navy divers had been deployed to recover the bodies of the two men.
