Two school boys bathing in the Erattaperiyakulam tank in Vavuniya had drowned and their bodies were recovered by the Police Life Guard Unit with the help of people in the area.

A group of four school boys had got into difficulty when bathing and two of them had been saved by the residents of the area.

The deceased Nadeeshan Nidusara (14) and Karthan Kailash (16) were residents of Thekkawatta in Vavunia.
Erattaperiyakulam Police are conducting further investigations.
