• Beruwala Police recovered the bodies of the victims with the help of navy divers

Two young men drowned in the sea off Magalkanda in Beruwala and the other who got into difficulty was saved and admitted to the Kalutara General Hospital in Nagoda last morning.    

The victims Warakawalage Prabhath Kaushalya (19) and Chalana Dilshan (19) were residents of Maggona area and relatives. The other who was saved from drowning and admitted to hospital was a 20-year-old young man from Janarajapura in Maggona.   

Beruwala Police that rushed to the scene recovered the bodies of the victims with the help of navy divers and admitted them to hospital. The other had been saved by fishermen.   

OIC Beruwala Police Lalith Pathmakuma, IP Suranjan Perera and SI Rajavasam are conducting further investigations.
