• First anniversary celebration to be held under an Executive President from the party after 28 years

The United National Party will celebrate its 76th anniversary at Sugathadasa Stadium today. 
The theme of  the celebration will be ‘Collective effort to build up the nation’ according to Party General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara. 

This year’s special feature is that it is the first UNP anniversary celebration which is being held under an Executive President from the party after 28 years. 

Range Bandara said many political party leaders have been invited to participate in the celebration.
