The US $ 500 million credit facility offered by India is yet to be fully realized since there are some more ministerial level formalities to be done, Daily Mirror learns. 

Earlier, Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa was to travel to India to meet with his counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman and other ministers to complete work . 

Daily Mirror learns that India has already some form of assistance based on the credit facility, but further formalities are to be completed for the total realization of it .

The two countries are expected to have ministerial level engagements to finalize the matters.

Sri Lanka is presently undergoing  a foreign exchange crisis.
