Need funds for much-needed medicines and vaccines

Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila today requested the public to use fuel economically in view to save foreign currency to bring in the much-needed medicines and vaccines.

In a Twitter message, he said the reality is that we are in a foreign currency crisis.The fuel was 18% of our import bill in the past six months of this year, and it may be around 25% in the next six months, he tweeted.
