Vedda Community perform offering bees honey to the Sacred Tooth Relic

The ritual of offering bees honey to the Sacred Tooth Relic was performed on Saturday (26) by the Vedda community.  

A group of 65 indigenous people led by Uruvarigelage Vannila Ettho visited Sri Dalada Maligawa and attended religious observances and handed over the vessel of bee honey to the Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela.  

It is customary for the Vedda community to offer bees honey to the Sacred Tooth Relic on the first day of Randoli Perehera under the royal proclamation.
