The Vesak Poya International Dhamma Programme will be conducted online via zoom by three erudite buddhist priests resident in the USA and Australia.

Morning Dhamma Talks – 10.00 am to 11.30 am Sri Lanka time The Topic: “Mahāparinibbāa Sutta”.   
The Dhamma talk will be delivered by Bhante Sujato or Ajahn Sujato co-founder of SuttaCentral.net Sydney Australia, an online digital library of early Buddhist texts that includes translations from the Pali, Chinese and Tibetan languages into modern languages.

   
Friday 5th May - Evening Dhamma Talk – 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm Sri Lanka time (8.30 am to 10.00 am New York time) 

The Topic: “Excellent, Bhante! Excellent, Bhante!”  

In this Dhamma discourse, Ven. Bhikkhu Bodhi will draw out the implications of these four phrases in relation to the Buddha’s teaching as a whole, showing why the inquirers might have been so deeply impressed with his message.  

Bhikku Bodhi for many years was the President and editor of the Buddhist Publication Society (BPS) in Sri Lanka.He now lives and teaches at Chuang Yen Monastery (Carmel, New York).

Born in Southern California and became a Buddhist monk at the age of 27 at Gothama Thapovanaya, Kalapaluwawa, Sri Lanka. Now Residing/teaching at the Lion of Wisdom Meditation Centre in Maryland near Washington DC in USA.
