• This is the second time that Daily Mirror extends its invitation to the candidates for a debate 

National Democratic Front (NDF) presidential candidate Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe became the second to accept the Daily Mirror invitation for a debate among the presidential candidates.
The Daily Mirror once again called upon the presidential candidates such as Ranil Wickremesinghe, Sajith Premadasa, Namal Rajapaksa and Anura Kumara Dissanayake for a live presidential debate.

• SLPP presidential candidates Namal Rajapaksa accepted the invitation first on Monday 

 It is to be hosted by the Daily Mirror and Lankadeepa.   
This is the second time that Daily Mirror extends its invitation to the candidates for a debate.   
When it first did two months ago, only Anura Kumara Dissanayake accepted the invitation while Wickremesinghe declined and Sajith did not respond.  
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate Namal Rajapaksa accepted the invitation first on Monday.   
NDF General Secretary Rakitha Rajapakshe informed Daily Mirror in writing yesterday that Dr.Rajapakshe who is also his father is ready to participate in a live debate.
