Woman arrested with drugs valued Rs.9.5Mn at a roadblock in Modera

A 30-year-old woman was arrested with narcotic substances with a street value of Rs. 9.5 million at a roadblock at Bodhiya Junction in Modera yesterday.  

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the police launched a special operation to check those violating ID system and quarantine violations.  


Accordingly, the roadblocks and checkpoints had been set up on the various roads.  


Police arrested the woman in possession of 500 grams of heroin, 250 grams of Ice drugs and 1 kg of hashish narcotics at a roadblock.  


A three wheeler has also been taken into police custody along with its driver.
