Woman who allegedly shared nude videos online to make money remanded

A woman has been ordered to be remanded till September 27  by Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court after she was accused of sharing her  nude videos online to make money.   
The CID’s Computer Crimes Division had arrested the woman, a  mother of one child and produced her before Court for allegedly committing  offences under section 2 of the Obscene Publication Ordinance and  section 286 of the Penal Code.  
The CID alleged that the suspect had shared her nude videos  online to the individuals who deposited money into her bank account. The  woman has offered her service for Rs.1,000 per minute. The CID further  alleged that the husband of the suspect had acted in a way that encouraged  or assisted her to commit the offence.  
Colombo Chief Magistrate Prasanna Alwis has ordered the CID  to file a charge sheet against the suspect on the next hearing date. The  suspect woman was not represented by a lawyer.
