Claiming that the youth who entered President’s House and sat on the President’s chair have been arrested, Parliamentarian Harsha De Silva questioned as to what action has been taken against the MPs who sat on the Speaker’s Chair and damaged the microphones.

He told Parliament that a committee was appointed by the then Speaker to look into the incident and urged Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena to publish the report of the committee.

“No action is taken against the MPs who misbehave in Parliament. No action has been taken against the MPs who sat on the Speaker’s Chair, spilt water on it and damaged microphones. If it goes on like this, we will have to face serious consequences. Where is the report. We like to have the report,” he said.
