Abeysinghe makes early exit from Olympics
(Daily Mirror) - Sri Lankan swimmer Kyle Abeysinghe finished last in the Men’s 100m freestyle heat four at the 33rd Paris Olympic Games in France.
Abeysinghe returned a time of 52.42s and ended in 54th overall position out of the 79 competitors, who participated in 10 heats.
The 16 swimmers with the best timing qualified to participate in the Men’s 100m freestyle semi-finals.
Abeysinghe became the second Sri Lankan swimmer to be eliminated from the heats following the exit of Ganga Senevirathna on the previous day.
