The Institute of Personnel Management (IPM), Sri Lanka’s premier professional body in HRM, is happy to present yet another Corporate Etiquette Training session by well-known trainer Kumar de Silva.
These programmes are centered around “Personality Development and Corporate Etiquette” and will be conducted by Kumar de Silva in collaboration with IPM on Thursday 31 March at the Galadari Hotel.
“Corporate Etiquette isn’t just about holding a glass of whisky or wine at a cocktail, or eating with a fork and knife at a business meal. It’s much more than that. My sessions immerse the participants in a 360 degree head-to-toe experience which is both vertical and horizontal. To me, they are all unofficial Brand Ambassadors of the organisations they work for and thus their behaviour and every move are of critical importance” says de Silva.
This session is primarily targeted at all those employees who come into direct contact with customers and the public. The course content is home-grown and specially crafted with a very strong Sri Lankan flavour in an international context, and consists of five detailed and interactive segments – General Corporate Etiquette, Hygiene & Grooming, Cocktail Protocol & Wining/Dining, Effective Communication Skills and The International Travel-Savvy Passenger.
Kumar de Silva counts thirty years of experience working and interacting with hundreds of people from different organisations across Sri Lanka’s multi-disciplined corporate sector.
“We’re happy to have de Silva on board as he shares his wide ranging experiences, gained both in Sri Lanka and in France, to help corporates boost their confidence, strengthen their social performance levels and charter their personal role in the journey to success”, stated Dyan Seneviratne ,CEO of IPM Sri Lanka.
Knighted by the Government of France as “Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et Letters’, de Silva (www.kumardesilva.com) is also a Public Relations and Media Consultant.
