Nikita Samaratunga, who graduated recently from Smith College, Northampton, Masachusetts with a B.A. in Government and a minor in Global South Development Studies, was awarded the prestigious S. Mona Ghosh Sinha Prize, given annually for the best academic paper written by a Smith College undergraduate on a subject that concerns South Asia.
