Emerging Media shines at SLIM SME Development Awards 2022

Emerging Media Managing Director Sanjeewa Rajapakshe and Director Tyner Fernando receive the award

Emerging Media has been nominated and won the Gold award in the IT, Digital and Online Category of SME Development Awards 2022, organised by the esteemed premier marketing body the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM).

This award category has been introduced to reward the outstanding efforts of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the marketing, branding and sales of their products, services or the brand itself. The motive behind the introduction of this award is to cater to the lack of knowledge and appreciation for marketing among the SMEs. As the SMEs play a critical role in the Sri Lankan economy, enhancing their scope through marketing is more important than ever, especially in reviving the Sri Lankan economy, which is recovering from a recession.
Emerging Media is proud to have achieved this award and one of the major categories of clients of Emerging Media is SMEs themselves. Emerging Media maintains strong relationships with hundreds of SMEs, helping them to establish their brands in Sri Lanka, creating thousands of employment opportunities. The SME Development Award is also a testimony for showcasing Emerging Media’s approach to addressing the Sustainability Development Goals laid out by the United Nations such as reducing poverty and facilitating economic growth through the creation of employment opportunities through SMEs. Emerging Media’s support towards the SMEs also makes the community more sustainable through reduced inequalities as it allows the SMEs to grow their business by competing with larger companies, which have superior advertising power.

Emerging Media is a pioneer in using new innovative advertising methods and technologies such as advertising local brands on the latest kiosks and E-Concierge solutions such as the kiosks introduced in the Cinnamon Hotel chain and Havelock Mall.
