The management and senior staff of Mobitel warmly welcomed Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Minister Harin Fernando and Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Deputy Minister Tharanath Basnayake during the first official visit made by the duo to the mobile telephony company’s head office located at W. A. D. Ramanayake Mawatha, Colombo 2, on Friday. 

Addressing the staff of Mobitel, Fernando reiterated on his vision to embark on development projects which will enhance the information communication technology (ICT) sector, further helping the telecom operators to emerge their product offering to greater heights. He stressed on the importance of sustaining the growing demand for digital infrastructure by being on par with global trends and innovations. The meet also gave the opportunity for the senior management of Mobitel to showcase 

the future plans and discuss potential avenues for collaborations in contribution to the economy.
