A jasmine-tree planting programme was initiated in Elayapaththuwa, Anuradhapura under the auspices of Ven. Walpola Gothama thera. The main objective of this project is to offer jasmine flowers to the Ruwanveli Maya Saya and the Jayasri Maha Bodhi. The trees were planted with the assistance of pilgrims and devotees.
