The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) held a news briefing in line with the ‘National Law Conference 2021’ which is scheduled to be held on 12 and 13 February at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo. The conference will focus on the ways in which the legal profession can be fashioned to meet the requirements of the fast developing and oncoming future while preserving the fundamentals within the profession.

The 73rd Independence Day celebration was held at the Independence Square in Colombo today showcasing a military parade and a cultural pageant. The celebrations were held under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and other official dignitaries.
