Pancha Maha Purusha Yogas, Ruchaka, Bhadra, Hamsa, Malavya and Sasa arise when Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn respectively happen to occupy Kendras identical with their own signs, Moolatrikona signs or exaltation signs. For example, Hamsa Yoga is formed, when Jupiter occupies a Kendrasthana where, Pisces, Sagittarius or Cancer
sign falls.

According to Indian sage, Mantreswara, the Kendrasthanas in the Chandra Lagna too can be taken into reckoning when it comes to ascertaining the presence of Maha Purusha Yogas.
