These crooked MPs don't have sense of loyalty. These parasites will support anyone as long as they can cling onto power and rob the country

this is all stage managed by the Rajapaksas. They are not stupid when it comes to political games. By not backing Ranil, he can now appeal to the anti Rajapaksa voters. Closer to the election, the SLPP 'candidate' will drop out and they will also support Ranil. That is the plan for him to wine both the SLPP base and the wider Sri Lankan voters where anti Rajapaksa sentiment is high. Rajapaksas know that their candidate cannot win and Ranil is the only one of the 3 main contenders who will look after them.

These MPs have literally no vote banks. So at best the 92 can give only 92 votes to President Ranil. They are sinking and in an effort to keep afloat think that president Ranil has a strong rope to hang on to. But the truth is even RW too is going same way. Can minister K Wijesekara bring one vote more than his vote? So far this year according to media information almost 96000 power supplies have been disconnected. Are those consumers happy?

The PMD is headed by Saman who in the guise of Aragalaya, played his part in chasing away the rogues and an inefficient president. Now he thinks he can muster support for RW with his daydreaming facts. Even if all rogues support RW he is gonna be the loser. enjoy your dreams till 21 Sep.

Is 92 MPs support enough to win election? Didn't he realise it is the people who select the President and Parliamentarian's. These parliamentarians and their political parties have taken the voters for granted for them to decide who should be the President. The voters are waiting eagerly for the election to give the shock of life to these MPs and Ministers.

All those commenting on this post: If you don't like Ranil, just vote to whom you prefer. We like him and we will cast our vote for him especially because he did what AKD, Sajith and others could not do. Ranil is a 'worker' whereas the others are only just 'talkers'!

It is a game hatched by Rajapakshes with the fox. SLPP does not support RW, to show that RW is genuine and does not need the support of the SLPP for the election. He does not want to be seen as one seated with the rogues. They think he will get some extra vote by this false propaganda. People are not fools anymore, The fact that RW has protected the Rajapakshes up to now, is enough.

This DOES NOT mean 92% of the voters supports Ranil. In fact these 92 are rejected by the people as it was seen during Aragalaya, because this is the mostly corrupt lot of the politicos in the country. 92 attended does not reflect any thing substantial as far as the pending Presidential Election because they collectively, will not be able bring at least 9200 votes to rescue the candidate Ranil Wickramasinghe. But it is good they met the President because it forces the President not to do any foolish scheming to postpone or cancel the elections. Also these fellows think that voters can be fooled by saying Ranil rescued the economy. In reality, it is falsehood, he or his regime hasn't done anything to improve the economy or the lives of the people until now except enriching 92 and other goons around him.

The decisive factor in the election in SL will not be Ranil's ever-increasing debt policy, but the extremely deep-seated, insurmountable antipathy, yes, the feelings of hatred in some cases, towards the established political generation in parliament and Ranil Wickremesinghe!!! Ranil, who would not have come to power without Rajapaksa's auxiliary troops and is again dependent on them, has done nothing in recent years to reduce or diminish the extreme rejection by the majority of the people!!! Wickremesinghe, like the Rajapaksas, is associated with corruption, roguery and everything bad in politics!!! But elections are not decided on the level of reason and intellect, but on the basis of irrationality and emotions!!!

This looks like a pre-planned game by Ranil and MR as usual to fool the people. All know ranil will not going to win the presidential poll. Their plan is to get maximum number of parliamentary seats from next general election by showing as two different groups.

If a free and fair election is held, we will see a brand new president in the forthcoming election. Unfortunately, it is a big challenge. General public were either misguided or fooled for last 4 decades. Hope all will make correct choice to eradicate corrupt politicians.

Rogues always support rogues as if not they cannot carryon with their robbing business. I challenge Ranil to disclose the 92 names. All those in the photo may not be sitting MPs. Some could be past MPs who lost the last election. These photos are published to cheat the voters but this time they are more intlligent

MP's who are popular in an electorate and command the respect of the voters their voter bases are in tack whilst there are MP's who have been idling and upto scams in the electorate the voters will not vote for them and this is the floating vote. We cannot deny that there are some MP's of the Pottu party who have displayed honesty and the capacity to work for the good of the public but on a low key because of the Rajapakse's truant ways which has led these legislators to be sidelined. Ranil is no fool to call for an election if he did not have some backing because although the NPP is of high hopes of snatching the voters of the Pottu party this will not happen as voters are very faithful to the party which their ancestors have been right throughout voting. Crowds will never show the correct picture otherwise why did the NPP win only a few seats in the past although there were crowds for their meetings. Wait and see as the NPP will have to eat sour grapes!!!!!

Majority of the sri lankan voters are so gullible that even a drop of pin will change their mindset. So ya these extremely cunning politicians know how to manipulate. This who not supporting and supporting the incumbent president from slpp is a fully scripted drama. They haven been and will endorse ranil for sure. And probably will win the election too knowing the majority gullible mindset... The business community in large atleast the big ones will push for the ones who can support their businesses and questionable practices. So they don't care if ranil or sajith or James comes as long as they can survive. This election will not bring change to this country but rather an exercise to retain the existing lot.
