The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) announced that their bus services will be operated from today (16) for the people to return to Colombo.

SLTB Deputy General Manager Panduka Swarnahansa told the Daily Mirror that most of the people had gone to their villages to cast their votes for the general elections.

Accordingly, SLTB bus services will be operational from tomorrow (17) and Sunday (18).

However, the private bus associations claimed that they also have taken measures to operate buses for the convenience of the people.
