Don’t talk nonsense about debate in front of kids: NPP tells Sajith

Colombo, June 15 (Daily Mirror)- Claiming that SJB leader Sajith Premadasa has evaded the scheduled debate with NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake on June 6, NPP Executive Committee member Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said Premadasa must stop talking various things in front of kids about the debate now.

He told a news conference that there is no more discussions about a debate between NPP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake and SJB leader Sajith Premadasa.

"We agreed to a debate on June 6, the date proposed by Sajith Premadasa. But, he evaded it. People came to know that he is a leader who cannot even face a debate. The debate is over. We urge him not to talk various things in front of kids," he said.

Dr. Jayatissa said people expected a debate between the two leaders and said it should be the new political culture.

"In the USA, the main candidates of the presidential election to be held on November 5 agreed to participate in two debates on June 27 and September 10 as proposed by two media institutions. Sri Lankans inspired by such developments expected a similar debate here also," he said.

Both are not suitable candidates. Both will destroy the country if elected. One party has done nothing but destructive activities since 1971. If they are elected, expect 88 89 style environment.

At least Sajith donates various things to schools, hospitals, religious places for last 20 years or so while in opposition for most of his political career. Tell me what you have done other than talking. Most jvp guys have not done a single thing that benefits anyone but just talking and giving entertainment. Recently we saw Haduns comedy talks. These jvp guys are responsible for bringing disaster to the country by bringing Tsunami thief, supporting the famous crook sarath N silva. Probably unp, slpp and sjb guys are way better than these talkers. Also why your boss Anura is using a luxury double cab instead of a Maruti or low budget high fuel efficient hatchback. Just a talker nothing else.

If Sajith is elected there will be a lot of visitors at his residence who have given money to make these donations to schools. They dont just give money to Sajith and they give it for purpose like Bar permits, sand , earth permits some may be expecting ambassador posts. This is the usual tragedy in Srilanka during election time.

Mind it, SJB is a party which gathered considerable seats in parliament, where Punchi's Husband's NPP has yet been deemed a party so far, at this juncture, how could NPP be recognized as a political party to sit with SJB? NPP should not talk BULLSHIT.
