Colombo, October 9 (Daily Mirror) - Showery conditions are expected to enhance in the South-Western part of the country in the next few days from tomorrow (10), the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said.

They said thundershowers would occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts. 

Showers or thundershowers would occur elsewhere at several places on the island during the afternoon or night.

Meanwhile, heavy showers of about 100 mm are likely in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Therefore, the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
