Parliament approves three legislations

Colombo, September 3 (Daily Mirror)- The Reciprocal Recognition, Registration and Enforcement of Foreign Judgments Bill, the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill and the National Minimum Wages of Workers (Amendment Bill) were approved by Parliament today. 

The National Minimum Wages of Workers (Amendment) Bill provides provisions to increase the minimum wages of private sector workers up to Rs. 17,000, while the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill provides provisions for a pre-trial agreement whereby a person accused of a crime could plead guilty and pay compensation to the plaintiff.
