Polls-related complaints top 4,000
Colombo, September 16 (Daily Mirror) - As the Presidential Election is just around the corner, polls-related complaints have surpassed 4,000.
According to the Election Commission, a total 4,031 cases have been reported during the period from July 31 to September 13.
Of the total complaints, the National Centre for Election Complaint Management received 1337, while the District Centres for Election Complaint Management received 2694.
All complaints were categorised as breaches of laws, with 29 incidents of violence being reported.
