President visits Malwatu, Asgiri chapters to receive blessings

Colombo, June 27 (Daily Mirror) - President Ranil Wickremesinghe visited the Chief Prelate of the Malwatu Chapter, Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Maha Nayaka Thera and the Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter, Most Ven. Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Nayaka Thera a short while ago.

He visited the Chief Prelates to receive their blessings. Later, the President engaged in discussions on the country's economic and financial progress and presented the Greater Kandy Urban Plan to the Chief Prelates.

Mr President, Life is not permanent. You have done your part. Ideally you should now prepare a 25 year plan so that the loans due till 2043 settlement is also visible to all if country goes according to plan. Then go and get the plan and yourself blessed together. You are doing something dangerous and risky (and therefore irresponsible) for the country by trying to be a Rambo (one man show) at a ripe old age of 73.

It is RW who said that it will be 2048 when SL will be out of Bankruptcy with loans paid. He did not take into account the loans that will be raised from now until 2048. Issue here is these Mahanayakas Bless this old guy to become President again. If they secretly blessed for RW to fail in his election that is the best that can happen. Mahanayakas' have the habit of not discussing the failures and advice on them. They must start providing good advice to politicians highlighting their successes and failures
