A good case in point is so far published Panama Papers. Ministers and Nirupama and many others full details given. Has the state taken any action. So what purpose is a private citizen going to court if the State allows this.

Family money is held by Dhammika Perera. Credit card liabilities are paid by the leader of the clan. All living is for free paid by papa and father in law.

Apart from being just another MP what work if any does Namal do to earn Rs.454,285 every month?

I observe Friday, 23 August 2024 02:33 PM
Salary of Rs. 68,000 monthly is less than the lowest paid govt officer. But then Ranil Wickremesinghe earning a monthly earnings of Rs.177,316 is the joke of the century - less than a menial private company employee. No wonder we collect so little in taxes.

We want to be Singapore who pays 2mn dollars to their qualified competent president.

Wera Saturday, 24 August 2024 05:57 AM
I knew some one will comment on this. Nobody is looting. This is how democracy functions all around the world. Even your hero AKD is earning a lot of money. Actually more than RW! Where is his family and wife? They live abroad which means there is even more income not declared. RW was always a simple man his house on Cambridge terrace is a two bed home built on 5-7 perches of land. His wife used to drive herself around in a small Maruti car. When Sajith's goons burned down RW's house he rebuilt it with his own money. These are facts. The beneficiaries of the bond scam are well documented in the forensic Report.

Let's not talk about the 80 million Rupee Villa type abode in Kelaniya or Gampaha as it's ownership is contentious and at this stage contested between BR and/or Thiru Nadesan, Husband of BR's beloved Niece Nirupama!!?? Ranil has not declared that the government offered free housing and the other "benefits" he gets as president, including the security detail cost. He has not declared his wife's income. Ranil has not declared the value of the books he has collected. He is also illegally getting two payments from the taxpayers. One salary as the president of the country, and the other is the pension. Is he not an employee of the people? Is he, or is he not the president? If he is retired, how can he be the President?

There is a difference between facts and which of them you can PROVE beyond doubt in a Court of Law. You can see their life styles but can you get at their sources. All that is the reason no one has gone to court. It is only by a concerted effort by State Authorities with sufficient resources that you can achieve this but the system now prevailing covers each side as both sides benefit.

Both Marxists on the list are making a good income compared to right wing politicians. Bopage making 30000 while notorious case AKD making 250000. Even AKD owns a Luxury Double Cab. Sounds fishy. Probably money sent by idiots living overseas to the party are misused. Time to investigate. Ranil gets all the perks as president so hardly he need a salary. Same can be said about opposition leader.
