* How many manifestoes has he released so far? * Has he accomplished any of the goals outlined in them? If the answer to the latter is zero, how many of the goals in the new manifesto can we realistically expect to see achieved?

Read the good the bad and the ugly in the NPP manifesto first before you apply your prejudicial mindset to deride probably the most visionary manifesto. The miserable NPP supporting dimwits don't deserve anything better than their own mediocre manifesto. Within this crowd of NPP supporters are the sons and daughters of former Sirima voters who were happy to see everything taken over by the state, stand in line for bread, rice and milk food, forgo sugar for dates and have no choice but to wear kerosene smelling poplin clothes and light blue Duro sarees like a national uniform. Sirima voters are the original jealousy brigade with a chip on their shoulder. Their next generation have inherited this same chip regardless of how educated they maybe. First they went for Gota now the NPP eternally damned not to see or appreciate a true and capable visionary leader.

Does NPP manifesto say anything about having a house and occupying tax payer funded MP's quarters and protesting against paid education while sending your own kids to Ireland

This manifesto has no value. It has to be thrown into the dustbin for the following reasons: 1. Ranil has been in the Cabinet for over 30 years as PM and President. 2. Under him, once the most potent UNP could not even win a single seat in the Parliament, and he crept into it through the back door with the blessing of the crooks to protect the crooks. 3. He could have implemented all the laws and actions he promises here during the past two-plus years as president and head of the cabinet; he did not do that. 4. Corruption has been rampant under Ranils rule as well. 5. His promises, even the full negotiations with the lenders to satisfy IMF requirements, have not been signed to date, although he projected they have all been done. 6. Ranil is not contesting under the UNP ticket but as an independent while being the leader of the UNP. If he were independent, he should have resigned from the UNP and then contested under the new ticket. He does not even have the guts!

Did I read correctly " Theravada ...." the name of Ranil's manifesto? Does he mean " Old Preople's" mandate? As Theravada means either it's Theravada Buddhist manifesto or the other meaning of Theravada is " Old Preoples'". The second is more relevant because all the old crooks are with Ranil and through naming the manifesto we can imagine what the old crooks come to power what they will do!
