Colombo, October 12 (Daily Mirror)- Transport Minister Vijitha Herath has instructed the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) to permit school, university and technical college students to travel on their season tickets in SLTB buses on weekends and public holidays as well.

The decision has been taken after considering the complaints on the inconveniences faced by students who travel on season tickets on Saturdays, Sundays and on public holidays.

The Minister has instructed the Chairman to take steps to enable students with season tickets to travel in SLTB buses on holidays without any issues during the month for which the season tickets are valid.
